if you're going to spend $100 on batteries for this plane, whether it be 2 4s packs to make 8s, or a single 6s 5000, do yourself a favor and try at least one set of either GensAce, SkyLipo, or Glacier from Epbuddy.com. the quality is much better and in my experience they deliver more even power over the course of the flight as well as more cycles per pack.
I used to be a HK battery buyer but after trying a few of the packs mentioned above, I won't be going back. the price difference is negligible especially when I consider how many HK packs I got that either had a bad cell out of the box or developed one after only a few cycles.
