Just unpacked my hardware and started to build today, and I already hit a snag! I got stuck with one axle that came off the lathe about .8mm early!
Argh!
Will contact 3dhs tomorrow and I'm sure they'll have a new one out quickly... maybe I can even coax Noll to put a manual in the package!

Yes... BUT, the 5mm collar won't fit either, so I've got nothing to hold the wheel on.

Have you got a file? About 30 seconds with a file and the collar will slip right on.
If you don't have one, they are not very expensive. Certainly easier than waiting for a new axle from 3dhs!

Yeah, I got it going together now.. just grabbed the spare axle out of the bag that I had set aside and forgot about.
Any other pointers for building this plane? This is my first giant scale (at least I think this considered giant scale, right?) and I'm a little perplexed about the gas vs. fuel option parts. Many more pieces in this kit than what I'm used to seeing.

Description: Well I picked up a couple nice shiny spinners at Toledo, really like aluminum with the CF prop as opposed to all the CF up front. Finally put the SFGs on as well, they really do look sweet on. Hoping to get out tomorrow and burn some gas, the syssa is getting broke in and that thing pulls like a mule!

Ya, 3 in tru turn wide blade.

One thing for guys thinking about getting into gassers, when your pricing out your list put a drill jig on the list. It makes drilling props and spinner backplates so much simpler and drilled right.

Or buy the OS that is a single prop shaft
