A 5% KE mix is not too bad, even with a touch of aileron....not what most would consider horrible....

But the elevator mix would indicate you are tailheavy (assuming you have an up elevator mix).....go farther forward with your CG and report back. Mine is dead straight with no mix....but my GT33 setup is heavier on the nose than a leccy setup.

Thanks Mike.

I have my battery all the way up to the firewall. I'll add a little weight up front -- or maybe a 2s receiver battery -- and see what that does.

I've got -5% Rud-> Elev on left and +2% on right and -6% both ways Rud-Aileron for KE mixes on mine with same motor and Mej 20x11E.

Sounds like others are similar. I know mine is NICE...but I do know it's heavy on the front.

I must be doing something different. I've got the electric setup with my battery an inch behind the firewall and no mixes.

A 5% mix doesn't seem like much at all. I guess it all depends on the speed and angle of your KE passes. My Edge (Hacker A50, Gens Ace 6S 5300) balances on the back edge of the recommended range. I don't use mixes and, at my CG, find only minimal elevator and aileron input to keep the 74 straight down the center line. At speed, during more precision style manuevers, the Edge tracks straight with no counter input.

so i am left with a empty spot on my plane starting to get ready for Huckfest in Lodi, only 21 more days, cant hardly wait. Thinking that i might fill the void in my cowl with an gt 33, $370 shipped to me by next friday if i order by sat. just not sure about setting up for gas. I have a nice servo for the throttle, stock tank and such. I imagine I could run servos and ignition off of my pro bec. Would I need an ignition kill switch? Always find lots of advise on converting from glow to electric, not much on electric to gas.

You can use the bec pro that is how i have mine setup to use 2s lipo. Yes you would need a engine kill i use this ibec and have been very happy with it http://www.tech-aero.net/ultra-ibec. The ibec plugs into rx so no ignition battery is need and also doubles as a kill swith.

lb.....I'm glad to help. What standoff's did you get for you OS...I believe you need 1-3/4" (44.5mm) standoffs for the 74 and OSGT33. I'd order from this guy...cmala....

www.customstandoffs.com

For the OS...I LOVE my Falcon 18.5x6Wide prop!! It's not a "normal" cut...and Falcon's website doesn't show all of their props...but you may call Bob's Hobby Center and ask them about it. If you strike out...PM me and I'll try to help on that prop....I've got a couple of guys to check in with that may have one.
