is the plane actually ballooning or is it more of the tail dropping giving it that ballooning affect? if the tail is dropping when you are slowing down then it is a tail heavy situation and allot of people will mistaken the situation. let us know the outcome when you do add more weight as Bivens noted...

before using the 4325 motrofly, i had an a50-16L with 4s 4000 x 2 and a 2s lipo rx pack. I was a few inches away from the firewall and it balanced out just fine on the wing tube. If an a50 worked in mine from a CG point of view, i'd assume it would probably work in yours too.

Balancing on the wing tube isn't always the final say in CG. Most do...but the edge has a center of lift far forward due to the straight leading edge....and rear wing taper.

I'm interested in what it does with a lot of nose weight....my money still goes on tailheavy.

The thrust angle and incidence are set by the designer and laser cut. Of course, everything is a compromise....right thrust for example helps upright flight but means more left rudder is required when inverted harrier...

The bottom line, check that your CG is "nice", the plane should not baloon if you set it up slightly noseheavy...but may baloon a little if you go for "3D neutral CG's"....I like noseheavy because it's more precise....My edge land's itself without much help.



Also, make sure your linkages are all free from binding and the elevator servo is centering properly.

thanks, i am really liking my motorlfly 5320, on 8s runs cool with an 18x8 plenty of power and comes down cool every time even when flying when its 105. insane with an 19x8 on 8s, and a real blast with 19x8 on 6s as well.did you decide to go with the 4330 or the 5320?

I'm working with Ken on the 4330. Looks like the 4330 will come out approx. an ounce lighter than the A60-6xs, add the added weight of the 2s 5300 that I am going to use with the current 6s 5300 (Gensace), and that will be the weight difference. I'll know more at a later date.
