It costs more than a jug of Super Dri, and is harder to clean up too!

Oh gosh. Don't say that. I just bought 2 ice 100's. One for rex500 and 1 for my 74" edge.

dont worry. the Ice 100's are pretty solid. i've heard of 75's failing but always when people are pushing the limit at 80A or so. I have had 5 Ice 100's and not a single one has failed and some are being pushed to about 110A for short bursts.

Love my Ice 100's I think I am up to 3 of them now. My ICE 75 works excellent but I wouldnt put it on the 7X class planes. 5X class would be fine even if you push it hard.

Cool... Sounds like all I have to do is use my handy dandy amp/watt meter and prop it accordingly.

Ok Im not sure I want to do this but I might be getting a 40% so the 74" edge with new hitec 7954's and a DLE 30 (muffler) and 4 flights might be going up for sale LPU in Lincoln, NE. I could part it out if anyone is interested. No damage except for wheel pants are a little cracked from grass and the scoop on the cowl is getting a little chewed up from the engine. (edit: its silver)

Not sure if anyone else is noticing this, and maybe I'm just a noob when it comes to setting up a plane, but... Upon take-off the plane immediatlely begins to yaw to the left. Wings stay level even if I take my hands off the sticks. Rudder is neutral the entire time. Trim seems right on the money. Is this a result of p-factor?, and something I can/should mix out? Setup is as follows:

Motor: a60-6xs
ESC: ice100
Servos: 1258tg w/1" swb arms. (rudder is 3")
Batteries: 6s 5000mah. 30c
Ar9300 reciver.
1900mah life batt for reciver/servos.

Thoughts??

6 more LONG flights tonight on the OS engine....really nice....and runs forever on a tank...after a 12 minute flight I've burned less than 6oz of gas...in my 10oz tank...could huck 16 minutes hard if you wanted....with nothing to overheat and little to charge.

OS33 runs so nice....throttle response is the best of any gas engine I've flown including my DA120's. This engine is worth the high price.

What engine/ motor would y'all recommend for this? I'm thinking about setting one up for Summer Also, how steep is the learning curve for Gas engines? It would be my first gasser. Lastly, what would be less expensive? Gas or Electric? Trying to be cost effective If the costs aren't too different, I'd go electric, b/c I understand it Either this or a 72".

I still can't believe that was your maiden trip to the field Scott with your Edge. Excellent flying. That thing does some crazy Lomchevaks.

GT33 gets my compliments. No fear on the "understanding gas"......Remember.....at one point you didn't know electric power well either.... If you go GAS...I'll help you out all I can...give me a PM with your phone number and we'll talk some....

You coming to FLI in Missouri?

Could be....OR it could be the RIP on this little 33 with the 18x8 break-in prop on a 10lb plane...it's FUN!!!

Why are you lurking here anyway....you got a 74 we don't know about....

I can't wait to see you at Nall...> I'll get the GT33 warmed up for you....UNLIKE my 104...we should really be able to fly 18 minutes of pass-the-box on this motor without running out of fuel....
