It's readily available as a pdf free Mike.

If Greg can't supply a copy I can.

G'day Mike,

I found a link to the original article + plan, but

You could easily build from Ray's PDF.

Beaut flying model.

aeromeddeler has posted an unusual racer from Model Aircraft, December 1955. So it is Vintage legal?

Nimbus 30" span class B team racer

I was surprised to find I already had a Nimbus photo saved on my computer, and next to it a A and B class delta called Nucleus from Model Aircraft, February 1957.

Anyone got a copy of the Ginny Goodyear plan in a PDF? please

I've always wanted to have a go at one of these.

Well John,

I've been looking for one for a few years and no sign yet. I have an extensive collection of magazine articles and plans and the closest I've come is the Aeromodeller 1/10 scale 1/2A GY plan. I do have a pdf of an attempt to scale that one up to 1/8 th scale and the following 3 view.

You could patch up your own version.

Didn't performance kits do a Ginny, I think it was from memory. Should check the adds in Aeromodeller.
I'll see if anyone on Barton has any info.
Thanks for the 3 views Ray, it really is a good looking beastie isn't it.
Cheers John

It's a pretty thing, John. Unfortunately the GY models rarely seem to look like their three views.

Here's your chance to correct that one, eh?

Regards

Here's a 40 sized profile Rat Racer the KARATTER from 1970 for anyone game enough!
Playing around with the "GIMP" and online JPEG to PDF converters. The downloadable freebies leave a watermark and don't capture the whole image.
Just have to suss out the scaling! from the screen image size it needs to be blown up 445% to get the 36" span on the screen, well 18" half span.
Enjoy, cheers John

Ah!

Talk to me tomorrow, I've found two professional level programs that do the JPEG to PDF very effectively and their free, free, free!

Here's Karatter enlarged, using Inkscape.

Should be very close to 36" now. The texts are a bit hard to read.

A couple of Australian 1950s racers were just posted on Hippocket, by "Jed" and "gazimoto": two versions of Aero-Flyte Fury, for 1.5 or 2.5 cc engines. "gazimoto" says that the second version is the better one for Vintage racing.

Sure was.

Perttime, I'm Qazimoto on Hippocket. I've asked them to make a separate folder for Aeroflyte plans, I have quite a few to post.
