Trying to figure out the correct amps to charge at AGAIN..

Hi guys,

I always have trouble with this. I just got a 180mah 7.4v 20C lipo and I want to figure out what the best amps to charge it at are. I am charging it at .2 amps right now to be safe but I bet I can go a lot higher than that.

I thought it was something like 180mah/1000 = .18 amps (that is 1c?)
but then if i multiply that by 20 (as in 20c) it comes out to 3.6 amps which seems way to high of a charge rate.

Can someone help explain this to me (again)..

Thanks,

Tavis

.2 is fine you are correct . 20C is the discharge rate and you should not be charging at 20C.

almost every battery on the market today can be charged at 2C so if i were you i'd be charging at 2C. so .4 would be fine.

Take these for example, you could charge at 10C or 1.6amps. you would be able to buy 2 packs and almost be in the air none stop
