Just picked one up yesterday to go with my Violation 9053..haven't flown it outside yet due to weather, but looks like a smaller version of the 9053. Anyone else flying one of these?

Finally a calm day...took it outside and flew for 5 mins...nice!

Hey Jake, I got a 9097 for Christmas. Love it, but I had a small accident when landing it. I've found new main blades online and am about to order them, but whats the real difference between the 9097 and the 9053 other then blade length? I know the 9097 is 24" and the 9053 is 26" but will using the longer blades on the 9097 cause any problems? Also I am assuming all the internal parts are interchangeable.

Any help would be great, search is proving worthless.

Did a short flight in the living room to run the motors for a bit...can't wait till spring!

Took it out today, little windy, but handled it better than the 9053.

Have you done all the mods on the 9053? IE bigger prop, flipped bottom blade grips, used shorter flybar? I done them all to mine. Before flipping the bottom grips and shorter flybar I would get massive blade strikes messing other stuff up. No idea why they sell them like that. I bet theres SO MANY 9053 that have been trashed because of the blade strikes.

Took the 9097 outside today in a little breeze..finally 80 degress and nice...flew great! Short video here.

Don't have any problems with my 9053...flies perfectly stock.

Congrats ... Mine would blade strike every 2mins, then sometimes the flybar would hit bottom blades causing massive crashes. Your really lucky it hasnt happend yet. I would do the mods.
