I ordered a rudder with a kevlar hinge strip. It's 1 3/8" from the TE at the center chord... it seems like a lot of rudder.

1 3/8 from the te? Not what I would have done on my own. I'm wondering aloud in Swedish.....kan det vara för mycket rodret?

Mike, ska du envisas med roder kan du lika gärna ta ett stort så att det svarar bra

1 3/8 is about 35% which I think is reasonable.

Wait. The plane doesn't like it? It told you this?

Maybe you need to go translate for Seid's Polaris. It might not be saying "Give me yaw control".

Are the dimensions of the Polaris wing on the website? I'm curious about the root chord.

Thanks,

It is saying, "Yaw.... I want control." Adding the rudder on the heavy layup has a couple of considerations. First, pink paint is heavier than no paint. I weighed it, so it must be so. I had to add some more lead to the nose than I would like to because of the pink paint on the tails. Lead is heavier than no lead. So since the lead cant help me steer that well, I thought I might change the lead for servo. Also, I am really really really itching to fly a contest. Since there isnt a contest in diaper changing range, I have to fly by myself. Then I come home and put the plane back on the wall, and change a diaper. After that its dark, and I still want to play with planes (nothing else to do since Ive havent made that vasectomy appt....) So Ill play with the pink plane, and I guess Ill cut a rudder.
