Sony NEX5N shutter trigger modification

I just picked up a Sony NEX5N today. Was disappointed to see the only method of remote trigger was IR. Sure a GentLED will work but typically IR remote interfaces suffer from latency. Not normally an issue but I need this NEX5N to trigger within .05 seconds (more on why in another thread).

A quick how-to here:

Why not simply use a micro servo mounted in such away as to trigger the shutter. This method would void any warranty. Just wondering.

We need the camera to trigger within .05 seconds and trigger by shorting of two wires for our newest product (not yet announced in detail). A Servo triggering method will not work in this case.
