Ive allready packed everything back in the box. The fuse isnt terrible. The damage is located on top just behind the wing bolts. Its mushy from there back allmost to the turtle deck. Just looking at the plane, you wouldnt know it was damaged....you have to touch it. Its fixable with some cloth and epoxy. There is no box damage, so it left their store this way.

Tom and Skyjet,

Could you tell me where and how you mounted your GoPro cameras. I'm thinking of buying one for my 110 but I have a Saito 125 in mine and don't want to end up with "slimy" pictures.

I know....go electric and you don't have to worry about that!!

Thanks for your help

I tarted with a mount on top of the fuse centered right in front of the wing. Decided the fuse blocks too much of the ground facing back and don't like the prop effects facing forward. So I stuck a second mount directly on the landing gear where it's bolted to the fuse.

Thanks for the reply Tom

Did you use the sticky mounts that came with the GoPro and are they secure enough??

Yes direct on the LG, just clean it with alcohol first. If on the covering, clean with alcohol, prick the rea with a pin a few times, then apply some thin CA to really adhear the covering to the balsa, then apply the mount.
I started using the lanyard fastened to strut. No I dont bother with the lanyard at all.

With the Saito, you might consider mounting it under one of the wings just outside of the wing strut.

The "180HP" had me confused until I found out 180HP is the SKU # for the Syssa 30.

Nice flying on such a windy day!!!

Unless pettit is running a lot of extra equipment or an electric set which he's not, the Rascal should have came in around 12-12 1/2 lbs.

Rascal 110

Yep, that does sound rather heavy.

I think that's a typo on my part, but just to be sure, I'll weigh it again tonight.

It did sound heavy to me too. My first rascal had a G26 and a 20 once fuel tank and weighed 15 1/2lbs RTF. No flaps though.
