Mahui, Im starting a new Build, need to carry a Canon 5d, initially I was going for a Hexa, but watching your video I think your Octo has definitely a much better redundancy. Could you please post your setup, motors, motor to motor distance, props, etc.

Thanks

i love when all components are fixed and wired properly!!
If it looks good- it will fly good!!

I have a new quad too that looks - nice.
Let me know how is the trimming of every flight on this bird
And how is the ACC arm - up left on the bird

Trimming- every power off - is one of the "problems" on this board
Let me know...

I've run through three packs but it is very windy so I wouldn't like to comment too much on how it flies, trims and such. That said in moments between gusts it is very stable and doesn't need any trims as long as I've calibrated the accelerometers (every batter still). It does seem to yaw right slowly though and if I give it a load I throttle it pitches forward. Again, it's bloody windy and a very unfair test.

Also tidied it up even more, black insulating tape over the motor wires taping them to the booms, you can hardly see they are there on the black booms.

It's got masses of power an hovers at about 35% throttle, takes off like a rocket if you give it some beans! 7A at hover maxed at 38A, perfect for the set up.

Nice video (once I got by all the popups). Good to see we aren't the only ones with snow :P

Sounds like you may have a bad/noisey motor.

Thanks flitelab
I'm using 3506 MT-motor and it does have this kind of noise with high timing an smooth when in low .

Hi, I got mine mounted on a hex yesterday. Today when I'm trying it outdoors it always wants to spin in either direction. I try to use trim to find a sweet spot, but then suddenly it spins in another direction. I try to trim again and again, but it spins so fast once up in the air and it's impossible to fly like that. The other leveling seems to be fine. It's just that it spins around it's own axle and it's impossible to trim away.

What could this be?

i think my aq50d just tried to flip on me again an hour ago
i armed the FC and it immediately jumped up about 4-5inches and landed
throttle was at ZERO ...

i have somewhat lost confidence in the aq50d with the 5.8ghz fpv system ...
i was previously running the same 5.8ghz fpv system on a KK board without any problems
i may try the aq50d with a 1.2ghz fpv setup when i have the chance and time

flying without turning on the 5.8fpv system was trouble free
the auto leveling is not consistent though ... even after hardware mod and firmware upgrade

Thank you, Alwayscrash. I did recheck the turning direction and I had them all one step wrong with CW vs CCW. I thought I had double checked that before, but obviously not. Now it's to windy outside, but I can see it looks much better now. Thanks!

Obviously it has gimbal , the gimbal will work when the frame is tilted .. if the frame is tilted then frame should move .. but it stays in same place ,this will happen only when you oppose the wind .. and it does .. thats why i raised
