I picked one up as well. Have the CS 10 blade fans coming, with a couple cheap outrunner Turnigy motors to test with. I suspect I will be running 6S with a motor of ~2000kv.

I was surprised to see they ship the wing in one piece, which creates an extraordinary long box. But it looks good so far.

4s??? I was going to do a 2650 or 3000 3 cell setup for each fan. Is there room for a 2650mah 4cell? Will the 3300 even fit? The motor shaft looks too small.

This is truly a stretch, but did anybody run one 4-cell 2650 for each motor? Just doesn't seem like there'd be enough room in there. And even If you could fit them, it would proabably be too nose heavy.

Also, I think I would rather use the 2100 motor. No adapter needed.

It would be a bit higher than 90 amps for sure.
Here are my readings on the 10 blade C/S fan with a 3200 kV motor with a 4s 2650 40C pack at WOT.

If you are talking about 3S 2650mAh for each motor, than I'm actually talking about twice as much. If you look at it in terms of Watts-hour (Wh), then you are talking about 2x 3Sx 2650 = 2 x 11.1 x 2.65 = 58.83Wh, while I'm talking about 1x 6S x 5000mAh = 22.2V x 5 = 111Wh. Double.

Also, I was facing the same decision on another twin engine (although prop on the other one): do I feed both motors with one battery or have a separate battery for each? There are three options here (there are more, but I will illustrate with 3...). Let's say we agree that each motor should have approximately 55Wh feeding it (which, at about 1000W maximum throttle should give you 3:20 flight time (60 x 55 / 1000).

(1) You can decide to have a single 6S 5000mAh battery feed both motors in parallel. Each motor at full throttle will take about 1000W / 22.2V = 45A.

(2) You can have two 6S 2500mAh batteries, each feeding one motor, still taking 45A from the battery.

(3) You can have two 3S 5000mAh batteries, each feeding one motor. However, this time each motor will take 1000W / 11.1V = 90A.

There is a forth option: a single 3S battery, but now you will need 10000mAh, and the two motors together will take 180A, which is really a lot...

My preference is to feed the motors with 6S and lower amp rather than 3S (or even 4S) and higher amp, for several reasons. One--I prefer to drive higher voltage than higher current. Higher current will required thicker wires (10AWG? 8AWG?) while lower current will allow me to use lighter, thinner wires (12AWG? 14AWG?). Since you have to run long wires from the ESC to the motors here--this is a consideration. Second--I really don't like high current running through all the electronics.. Maybe a personal preference, but that's my preference...

So, I would rather feed the motors with 6S 2500mAh each, versus 3S 5000mAh each. Now it leaves the 1x 6S 5000mAh versus 2x 6S 2500mAh. To get 2x 1000W (or 111A) from a 5000mAh battery, I need it to have 22C (111A / 5Ah) discharge current. So, even a 25C battery should be enough. I'm planning on putting a 35C or 40C battery (quite common) and be happy...

Finally--in order to get some 40K rpm from the motor/battery combination, if you choose a 6S / 22.2V battery, you will need 40K/22.2V = 1,800Kv motor (plus due to load, so let's say 2,100kV--the motor you already chose...) However, if you want to get 40K rpm with a 3S battery, you will need a 40K / 11.1V = 3,600Kv motor (with load, maybe a 4,200Kv motor). It seems that your motor is better in getting 40K rpm (1000W on this fan?) from a 22.2V battery than from a 3S battery.

Just my two cents...

Iíll be running 2 Cyclone 2500 kv motors on my A-10 on one 6s battery.
I have used this setup with great success in my Starmax twin 70mm F-14, with the stock fans. These fans are cheap Sapac clones. I will be installing HET fans in the A-10. If I am going to glue in the fan shroud, I want to put in a decent fan. Hereís a short video of the F-14 with a 6s 4000 mah battery. At 6 pounds 5 ounces, itís got plenty of power at this weight.

The flaps are installed in place. Done exactly per the instructions, with one deviation: replaced the hinges with the robart 308 steel pin hinge points. Installing it is a bit tricky, and I didn't know what to expect from those two 1.5mm flexibly metal wire, but I'm very happy with the results.
