Those larger wheels and gear may be messing with your trim.

They do so well as a belly lander.

isn't climbing when lowering throttle is an indication of a luck of down-thrust angle though?

It is tempting to take the wheels of but I feel like I can learn more with them on (e.g. holding rudder when taking of, three point lendings etc'). Maybe Mosa #3...

I swapped wheels on my Wildcat400 and it sorta holds when I up or down elevator. it's weird....But I swapped wheels to a slightly wider foam tire from rubber. It had bad ground handling with 3 rubber tires. It's much better with a rubber tail wheel and foamies on the front

Funny, that is exactly what I have!

and of course you were right about the Cessna <-> Formosa issue relations. It was time to switch to a new one...

The reason I am asking is because two possibilities for nose pointing up (ballooning) at landing. First is too much down thrust, the second is tail heavy. If you need "up trim" to bring nose up for level flight, you are nose heavy. So I think, I can be totally wrong, you have too much down thrust.

With the longer gear(more leverage) and larger wheels the drag may be enough to pull the nose down at higher power settings. Then if you trim up to compensate you will be out of trim when you reduce power.

The beauty of symmetrical wings is that, when properly trimmed, they will hold attitude at different power settings.

Or you may just have too much downthrust.

I would ditch the gear and get a Fun Cub to practice touch and goes.

haha... The weeds where I fly are like Velcro. Its more like touch and no go...
Have you ever been there? Its called Ives Estates Park.

It was the downthurst... I added two washers at the bottom of the X mount and the ballooning disappeared. Thanks for all the help everyone.

Its interesting, the heads up rc power 15 seems to generate more thrust than the e-filte power 15. With an 11x8 prop:

E-flite Power 15:
Peak Amp: 30A
Peak Watt: 365

Heads up RC Power up 15:
Peak Amp: 47
Peak Watt: 534

Unfortunately both measurements are with a batteries in storage mode so actual figures would be higher.

So now I have unlimited vertical with less then half a throttle... You think I should Prop Down?

All kidding aside I will prop down, I now get to fly 5mins instead of 7...

A T-6 with German markings? Can't offer much help, just fighting off the urge to hurl chunks.
