Do you think that the ZII XL will be more stable? or for more speed?

Mum is the word!
The ZXL is made for more slower speeds and longer range, it will have lighter wingloading.
Easier to launch .

When in doubt, mumble
Will Elmer's spray adhesive work on the elevons for lam on paint? Also is it better to use 3 or 5 mil on them?

Ty , use 3 mil and rustoleum double coverage gloss, no need for spray glue, just sand nice a smooth prior to paint.
Lam sticks well to gloss, 5 mil is hard to do on tite curves , that why we use 3.

that motor has about double the weight and power capacity you would want.

i would suggest normal Z setup would be plenty. you are not going to fly the extendo like a normal Z2, like CK says its more for floating about than agro sport flying.

A big watt system is going to turn it into a handful and by the time you reinforce it enough for stupid aerobatics or speed its gonna be a brick. keep it light and float about. that was the design idea.

That one is kind of low in rpm. I would think you need something closer to 1000kv.

Chris. Do you mean the 1200kv ritewing? I guess that should work. It certainly moves the ZII pretty good.

Opps. I have to read the last post before I reply to an earlier one. Sorry about that.
