Also if anyone has a hitec aurora9 that they have installed the dragon link on let me know bc I'm trying to install mine but I don't want it mess it up.
Just make sure it has sufficient airflow, especially a 1W tx. I've cut a slot out for mine and plan in laminating over it (or at least packing tape), but I will have a heat sink out in the air flow. The tx will bake in the foam with no ventilation.

I'm probably going to just Velcro it on the outside so it will get the best flow I guess

this is what alot of people do sink it into the wing but leave the top exposed for cooling

I am actually building a launcher. It is a copy of LostLarry's who was kind enough to loan it to me.

Larry uses a 10ft surgical tube he got at Home Depot. I will probably go with a double tube to increase the tension and shorten the stretch distance. I have heard the proper tension is 4 to 5 times the weight of the plane so with my 4.5 lb ZII I will be going with 20 to 25 lb.

Anyone using vinyl wrap on their plane? If so - is it all the 3M DI-NOC or has anyone used any other kinds?

I am thinking about a 3D CF vinyl wrap - but wondering what the difference is between the 3M DI-NOC and some of the alternatives that are half the price.

There is a reason why its more expensive... I will be buying some, it appears to have great molding ability and easy to work with, which will be essential when your bending it into wierd angles and sharp edges.

Samples appear very strong as well.
