i logged in to read that . gmail does have the best spam filter of any service out there.

Oh and I installed the metal tail case. I am almost certain it made the belt tighter which means i will have to re-trim the darn tail

Tail blades


Looking at the tail blades, is this the way they're supposed to go back on? I forgot if the screw goes in the outside of the grip and the nut goes on the inside of the grip? What about the washer? Does it go on the inside of the grip with the blade?

I'm pretty sure your blades are facing the wrong direction. The leading edge cuts up into the propwash so simply unhook the two ball links and flip them.

Yeah, I flipped the blades. They were backwards.

My issue is the screw and nut that hold the tail blades on.

I can tighten them by hand and the tail blade gets too tight, yet the nut is still loose.

...in other words, if I don't tighten the nut, the blade is going to fly off, but if I do tighten the nut, the blade can't move.

What is your definition of loose?

I achieved proper tension with my bare hands, but there is enough friction that general spinning would not loosen them on their own. I also used some loctite. You could then add hot glue for piece of mind. Hot glue will stick like crazy to the stock plastic. Maybe check the thread on helli freeek

Has it flown yet? Was it loose out of the box? maybe you need new hardware

You need to add a drop of medium/blue locktite and tighten the nut until you get the blade just right and then let it dry. It'll only come off if and when you break the thread lock.

Yes, I thought I was in the twilight zone.

Is it just me, or is a lock nut the standard on every heli tail blade/ main blade in the hobby????

I put some locktite on and it was fine.

Because blade uses the weighted style nut and bolt design it's a thread lock type and not lock nut type. Although you could use lock nuts with hardly a difference in performance if any at all.

Hey what r the blade dimensions just curious thinking about getting one of these and haven't been able to find any led blades so im just gonna have to make em I need to know how wide and long the blades r and also how thick thank u if u can answer

these are from the Edge website of the blades i use. stock blades are different

Specs:
- Length: 325mm
- Width: 32mm
- Root: 4.5mm
- Bolt Hole: 3mm
- Weight: ~ 24 grams

Had my first crash with my 450X yesterday. Feathering shaft and possibly main shaft is the main damage.

Is there a build/repair manual for the 450X? I have to remove the feathering shaft and replace it and I don't have an expanded diagram.

When I did mine, it was very easy. Just wait to take it apart until you are ready to swap it out. Same with the main shaft.
