Whooo!! pulled the trigger and ordered a Genius CP with the Devo-8! So stoked. I just hope I don't regret not going with the 2801-Pro TX for my other 3 FP walkeras.
I also ordered some Hyperion bare cells from Quantum hobbies and some mcpx tail blades. cool!

I think TB only come with tail boom assembly v3
They don't sell v3 separated.

If it doesn't say V3 on the listing then they probably are no better than the stock genius tail blade. You can heat the stock tail blade and twist it to give it more pitch and it works great with the brushless main motor.

I got two of these:

can't tell if they are V3. :P

Those are the older version of the tail blades. The new ones are longer and shiney finished. You would be better off using the heat twisted stock blade mod on the tail.

Just remember that you may not get the stock tail blade modded right the first try. You may need to heat it up and twist it a couple times to get it right. I have had to do that when modding the tail blades.

New stock tail blade mod thouroughly tested inverted full positive pitch drop into a full negative stop with no blow out

see for yourself

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zohG...e_gdata_player

the mod is not super easy but you will be rewarded with a super strong tail blade that holds extremly well.

if you guys are interested on what I did to the blade and want to try it for yourself let me know and ill make a vid on how I modded it

I cut reshaped a lil and removed some pitch then balanced it.

reason it works so good is because the tail motor doesnt bog anymore it has way more rpm. I have yet to blow out the tail with this mod

ill make a vid soon as I get off work tonight and post it here bud
