Wait a minute...

...you guys mean to tell me there are people out there who fly... 'virtual' models... instead of real ones...

...and PAY for it???

Sweet demon Jesus... I need another beer...

PS: In all seriousness, $20 to update a piece of nich-market software isn't much. And no, this stuff doesn't have the appeal of something like Norton AntiVirus or Adobe Photoshop. It might hurt a bit if you purchased recently before the update, but hell, at least you can update the darn thing! They could just give a massive middle finger to you and say 'Oh, sorry, the new version is not backward compatible. We can, however, give you $20 off the retail of the latest version.' Now, that'd be crap.

I was ready to buy the 5.5.... so i could get it NOW.
But 6 was advertised as the same price... available in "late October".
.... is it "late October" yet...?
What have the past version updates been as far as "on time" for release?
Should I expect it next week... this week.... 3 weeks from now....??

yep, I paid full price, but its my first sim, sure hope it helps as much as people say it will.

I'm serious. You tell me what you think is wrong, I'll take a look at RF6 when I get home tonight, and see if I see it. I have not noticed any issues with rudder physics in G5.5 either. It seemed okay to me.

Hi guys!

I really need a sim for the coming winter. It gets quite cold here and not a lot of flying is possible in the winter.

I am into airplanes and jets (no helis at all) and I really want to pull the plug on a sim but can't decide between realflight or aerofly

Since there is no demo of aerofly, Comparing the two is difficult.

What do you guys think? Should i go for the new realflight or aerofly 5?

Do they have similar physics/ graphics?

O and, are there any yearly promotions during christmas/soon so i can buy one of these sims cheaper?

Aerofly 5 is way better than RF there is no comparison.

Thanks for your opinion! However i am not trying to start a realflight vs aerofly war here. So please, if you state something like that, elaborate on the reason why you think the one is better than the other. In this way it is more helpfull for me and others. Do you have experience with both of them?

Are you for real ??? What war ?? you asked which is the better of the 2 I gave you my opinion ! I have both sims and areofly5 is way better in flight physics/ graphics /sound / etc.

I know a few people with all of the major sims, and they prefer RF to any of them. (Some of them prefer Phoenix for helis, but that doesn't apply to you. RF6 puts RF back in the heli game, though. The heli physics have completely redone.) if you want a sim where you want complete control over every aspect of flight characteristics, you need to go with RF. if you want a sim where hundreds of models are available for free, RF. RF also allows you to create your own models. That's even more addicting than the sim itself.

Calm down man. Like i said, i appreciate your opinion. Just want to prevent people stating just which one they think is better instead of "why" they think one is better.
