slope soaring in Holland

Hi,
As you all probably know Holland (The Netherlands) is the flattest country on earth. Therefore slope soaring is not often seen overhere. Here's a small movie we shot on a levee near the lake Ijsselmeer. Its only 6 meters high so don's expect any aerobatics etc.

hellingzweven aan de ketelbrug (3 min 35 sec)

Great stuff, guys!

I saw everything from an Alula to a Skua and a TG-3 being flown. That's the spirit!

The Lone Sloper
It's neat how that little red and white wing morphed into a yellow high winged sailplane

What an incredible variety of model's. Your slope remind's me of sloping the berm that goes around Lake Okeechobee Florida. I once got a 1/2 hour flight on the lake side in 25+ wind's. The land side is much steeper and only need's a fraction of 25mph to slope. Good luck.

Ah, that's great to see! A band of dedicated slope soarers in Holland!

I see lots of Dutch cars around here in the Summer- maybe you could organise a trip across!

Personally I planned to go to the Uk this summer. Because of the very bad weather we experienced this summer we changed our plans in the last week and switched to southern France. I did some great slope flying there as well but some of the famous in the UK are on my wish-list for next year!

My son is the cameraman and editor as well. Here's another film where he also put in a little joke: at 1:08 it seems as if he walks through the window.

Enjoyable to watch, both of them, but I thought Denmark was flatter. "Flatter..." does that even exist? Kinda like "leveler"

ive wondered for a while if it would be possible to slope off the dunes in Katwijk?
some of the hills there are at least 50ft and face NW into the ocean. im imagining some nice grassy/sandy landing zones too altho its been almost 10yrs since ive been there last when i lived in Oegstgeest.

It is pretty flat and highest point is lower, but at least most of the country is above sea level
