Speed Grease is the Aquacraft version of the drive shaft lube. You should, after every run grease your drive cable and it prevents wear on the cable and stuffing tube.

I just got one of these and had problems with the drive shaft loosening in the middle of the lake. Had to wait for the wind to blow it in. Anyone else? I used a dremel to flatten one side of the shaft where it contacts the set screws....hopefully that helps. Any other ideas? Also, how can I get it to plane earlier so I can use it in my pool?

Make sure the solder holding the two pieces of the shaft hasn't broken.
