Rich. Luck is on your side. I screwed up and ordered 8 instead of 6. So if you want 2 and go in for 1/4 of the total, There yours.

So, with 4 units on the way, what sort of motor would be the right one on a 4s 3000/3300 lipo?
As far as I understand from FF's findings a 2600 kv would be the way to go. That leaves us with a HetRC 3W25 or perhaps a Turnigy 380L? Do you guys have any other suggestions?
Cheers,
H.

Will an HET motor bolt onto this fan?
I think the HET motors for 70mm only have three mount holes.

Placed order yesterday for 2 fans and a few other things. Got the email that they shipped the same day and should have them in 3 to 4 days. Went with EMS shipping as it was only 6 bucks more than reg mail.

Keep em flying

So what motor/ESC combo are you guys planning to use?

There is one review on the other thread indicating that you will need a lower kv motor, in the neighborhood of 2700 kv.

Also mentioned was the need for some creative fitting on the motor shaft. Wonder if that's been addressed and resolved.

ARC 28 58 1 with a plush 80a esc on 6s.

Its a great setup for the midi fan. We'll see what it does with this one soon enough.

Careful with that 80a, you will probably be over 100 amps.
I would try 4s first with that motor.

An ARC 28-58-1 on 6S in a 90mm Midi Fan???? Should draw about 150 amps, 3000 Watts, and last about 10 seconds.

Gonna try it with the Sapac silver motor it's 3100 Kv on 4s pack. I have one in a 70mm Het fan at about 59.5 amps at 869 watts. The 2 fans are going in a Eflite Super Airliner all glassed with lights and electric retracts. Should make taking off from our grass field no problem. Plus it should sound real nice with them twin fans on her.

Keep em flying
