They will have to be machined down some. Any minimal resonance will cause blade rub. The clearance is very minimal under .5mm

Try Tamjets, they sell a dynamically balanced 4mm shaft, alum spinner, rotor combo. I think I paid around $65 for the combo.

chuck
speaking of tamjets , anybody know the actual id of their adapters? i have tried to find out from them but no response

i want to use there adapters on a couple of outrunners but the shafts are slightly under 4mm and if the adapters is sloppy kinda defeats the purpose.

tia, chuck.

CHEAP......you say CHEAP....my friend, you already have cheap. Ya get what ya pay for. I had the same problem with my cheap "stock" adapters! I bought some from Extreme RC, and the problem was solved

BTW, Extreme RC has 3.17, 4.0, and 5.0mm adapters

Yes I know but $40 bucks! That's not as bad as a $100/$200 for a foam plane....boy I'm a cheap or are they greedy? Maybe my job needs to pay more, who knows! :-) lol
PS I got just the rotor not the fan...was planning on getting afew adapters, now I can't find that post!

I hear you, sikky...I must confess that I did not order the spinners. I also needed 2 adapters for my LX A10.

My shaft adapters are 12 bucks, I dunno how much cheaper you can get a western made product for?? Shipping adapters is easy, they are flat so can go as letter size, a couple is like 4 bucks n change to ship. The spinners cause issue as they are not flat! So it ends up $16.50 for the shipping, but you can ship like 10 of each in the one package, so get together with friends and make it worthwhile.

After searching forever to find the TACON 2860 2550Kv motor, which has been out of stock everywhere and virtually impossible to find, I decided on the Leopard 2860 4D 2550Kv which is essentially the same motor just rebadged and more expensive. The only place I was able to find it was offshoreelectrics.com which specialize in FE boats. What surprised me is they sell the version with the cooling vents at either end, more suited to air versions than boats. Regardless, I am looking forward to trying this out on 5s. I think it will go nicely in the Habu 2 test ship.

Here is where I found them in stock if anyone is wondering:

I have ordered boat stuff from them before and it was a good transaction.

Those motors look good.
But they missed the 2500kv and 2800kv areas!! Two useful KV's for CS10/12
