The 10blade fan doesn't like being choked down. Try opening it up to 95% FSA (61mm) and it will come alive. I tried mine with the stock exhaust on my Phase 3 EF-16, 55mm and the performance was terrible. 10oz less static thrust than the 61mm exhaust.

What's your exhaust diameter?

This is what I was dealing with...lol

Scarry Bungee launch (1 min 2 sec)

That was my first launch off the ramp, was slightly nose heavy. Moved the battery back a few mm for the next ones and launched no problem..

Nighthawk , you don't want to launch with the wing's angle of attack sitting in a negative attitude. Youre lucky that thing didnt spike into the grass .Looks like you could use a few inches cut off the front of the ramp .It needs to sit not quite so steep .

Flying this fan in a scratch build tomhe f-22 profile jet. The one that was designed for pusher. I just have a question on the whoosh sound from this fan. I have a straight 56mm thrust tube. Could I cut a hole towards the end of the tube or something to give it a better sound? As of now it is super quiet.

If you'll wait till it gets some speed up to hammer the throttle, it wont torque to the left so bad.

Actually it came off the ramp cock-eyed. Our field is quite bumpy in spots which can cause the launch rails to be uneven in height.

You can hear the throttle come on after the plane was already in the left hand roll.

do you have to modify the ducting on the Mirage for that CS 10 blade 70mm fan?
photos of the ducting would be nice.

Thanks

No mods to ducting. fan is suspended where it is supposed to be. I think the awesome sound comes from the fact that the plane is designed to run 90mm fan so the 70mm fan has lots of free air( not starved)
