The P3 F16 is really hauling butt on 800 watts and it sounds cool. Very impressive.

The best in EDF since 2005

The F16 airframe has always been fast on low power, my original 800w one was clocked with a gun at 138 on a warm day years ago, and with the CS fan its not far off the old wemo setup. Best bang for the buck airframe.

Sorry, but I didn't even think to look at watts when I had the meter hooked up as I was concerned with voltage drop and amps. I'll try and take another look and post.

that would be great, the motor/fan info page says 64 amps w/ a 4000/4's . my battery will be closer to your size , so i am curious.

thanks , chuck.

Not really but could we here more on the 18blade smart fan edf? It seams to get low thrust numbers with high amp draws. Do you have any recommendations on this topic?

I think 9 to 11 blades is the sweet spot. 12 blades performs well but the blade hubs get small (if individual blades) so the materials get real critical (cs12) 10 blades seems to allow a single piece rotor which is ideal for volume and quite robust. If someone wre on the ball...they would have just scaled the 70mm 10 blade to 90, 100, 120, as soon as they tealised the performance was decent and sound good. Scaling does not alesys work though

CS is coming out 70/12 soon. Performance unknown, will it be another CS90/18? We shall see.
