10 blade changesun fan, HET 1W40 5s battery and 100amp esc. would that be a good setup? especially knowing how many amps that motor may draw?

Big motor (in physical ability)... 3300kv..... 5S..... 'attempting' 61K RPM.... more likely reaching 45k to 50k RPM.... it would be interesting to see! LOL
At worst you could go back to 4S if 5S proved it was psycho!
So that combo is going to be at the pointy end of maximums. Make sure it has a battery capable to drive it! (even that item would be a factor in the real end results and limits).

Not a tried and tested setup on 5S. If you are game in running this you need a beefier ESC. 100amps is not enough. It will probably pull 120+.

A few things... First, I apologize for some of the clarity in the video. The lens was a little dirty and was making the focus shift awkwardly...
Secondly, ok now that the negative is out of the way, I have a few things to say about this plane. THIS PLANE IS FREAKING AWESOME!!! The plane is so stable in the air and flies on rails. But man once you kick in the thrust vectoring, it becomes a whole new plane altogether. The possibilities while flying this plane are endless. With a little imagination and a whole lot of practice, I see this plane being, by far, one of the most dynamic edfs to date. Also, my motors are super quiet. I think this might be the quietest setup in a SU-35 video put out on the web to date. But they still have power!!!

For those who are interested, my power setup is as follows:

2 ExtremeRC Alloy Setups, both dynamically balanced by vendor:
2 Changesun 10 Blade 70mm rotors
2 HET 2W-30 Brushless Inrunner Motors
2 ExtremeRC Custom Shaft Adapters and spinners
2 Hobbywing Platinum 100A ESC: Medium Timing
1 CastleCreations 10A UBEC
Turnigy Nano-Tech 6S 5000mah 45C-90C
7 Detrum 9g Servos, 2 Hextronic 19g MG Servos, and 1 T-Pro MG90S(Steering Servo)

Very nice! I applaud all your efforts. It's certainly a beautiful sounding jet. Nicest looking EDF in my opinion too.

You really need to showcase all your efforts and do them justice. Get a decent video camera - or at least turn off that crap auto focus that continually oscillates between blurry and more blurry. A tripod isnt a bad idea too.

Really nice JK!

That thing really moves.

Funny that when you have a perfectly balanced EDF which is quiet on the bench or in the hands in your case, the motor noise comes through louder when installed in the fuse.

Here's the maiden of my Dynam ME-262 all stock except the 2 CS10s with Turnigy L2855-2300kv motors on 5S.

I could swear that I thought the fans were quiet when I had them on the stand.

Put them in the nacelles and motor and rotor whine is accentuated. Need to take them off and rebalance them....

Half throttle most of flight. Too dark to fly safely at full speed.

Hey Andrew

Flew my J-11B with the same exact setup and had the same issue!!

Dynamically balanced both motors and fans (x2) and thought they sounded great.....till I flew it!!

Still pretty quiet but I just think the HK outrunners have their limitations compared to nice HET inrunners.

Speaking of nice setups.......congrats to JK671 on the maiden too!! Nice model!!

It should fly at least once

Remember you will get some interaction between the 2 fans......usually it changes with throttle change. It the same as twin props unsynchronized
