There just must be a large price difference to the US.
I dont think ive ever shipped anything to Aus for less than $50 no matter how light/small =(

Will just make a carbon spinner/housing most likely. Have just avoided doing so due to being so busy but looks like I may as well start in between work projects.

You are probably looking at the express courier service! Registered Airmail for up to 500 grams is like AUD$27.00 to the US, 750 grams is $40.00, that covers 2 complete fan combos. Service is fast, most guys are getting their gear in 7-10 days or so.

Shipping 2 complete alloy fans no motors easy in a 500g pack.

Shaft adapters are $12.00ea, 3.17, 4 & 5mm made from German blanks, Spinners are $9.90 and shipping 150 grams airmail is AUD$13.00 to the US.

I just ordered 2 units from mark at extremerc... i was going to order 3 but had to hold back. What i did for the third was i took the rc lander alloy housing and slapped my cyclonepower 2500kv motor to it and put the changesun rotor in also.. i had to shave off about 1mm off the edge of each blade to fit it in though. One thing i did not do was balance the fan.. should've.. just too anxious to get this setup in the air.. what happened the last time i ran the 2500kv motor, the plastic shroud melted and got sucked into the motor, wreaking havok in the system.. anyway this was my fix...

Looks like it flew great, not total carnage on the landing gear...looks fixable... how new was your pack?

Also, I found it soooooo hard to balance this plane with a 6s 3300....did you use any weight to get the CG correct?

I've bench tested the CS10 in the lander shroud for heat-sink reasons and the thrust is ALWAYS a pound off of similar static thrust\watts. I think it's the way the stators are twisting that makes the difference cause a WEMO and a SAPAC in the same shroud gets almost 6lbs with the motor I was using.

For heat sink reasons I think only extreme and HET has a fan shroud that heat sinks a motor properly

Regards

Hey Extreme, do you have an ETA on the 70mm shrouds?

Might have something special for them...

I need something that Heat sinks a 70mm motor pretty good...

Hoping about 2 weeks away as I just ran out of 70 and been out of 90 for a few weeks now. Frustrating to say the least!

HET alloy housings, Arent they are that cast housing that skyworld did? The intake section is very short on that housing, cannot even fit a wemo rotor in there properly, its too close to the intake edge.

do you mean a 28mm motor for 70mm fan?
another option is Tams heatsink tail cone option for the v15/v32 fan housing which will also allow you to put your esc in the tailcone if your into that, super cooling for motor and esc
http://www.tamjets.com/original/prod...f45cb22a534e0b
yes it shows for the v32 but the v15 motor tube is exactly the same and this will work for both housings

Has anyone tested/tried these motors with the CS10? Looks like they might be an ok budget 4S motor, long can etc...

John,

I 've got the 2630kv and will test it in an exremerc alloy fan soon.

Haven't seen any tests of the 2860-2700kv in this thread.

Sounds great Andreas, will be good to hear the results I think it always good to have a few different budget motor options available

sink the 2600kv motor and drill holes in the end caps just for some extra protection.

I don't like closed end caps for EDF any longer, allows for motor to become a pressure cooker.

You can't get the 2700kv and unlikely they will get them again.
The whole XK series are just disappearing as they are sold out...... boo hoo, because they were great value motors!
