Lower amps and watts.
Ofcourse the mega are faster. But for 31A higher is cut the flight time so short.
Sean Habu is fast enought with E-flite BL32 motor set up average 120 mph.
More silly comments....

Hondas are efficient, not faaaast

The pass at the 1 minute mark dopplered at 130.6 mph for an average speed of 127.95 mph. Castlelink file below.
Is this at wavemasters?

That isn't silly....
I just share my opinion.
1800 watts get 120 average
2400 watts get 127 average

The 1800 watts use 3300mAh 6s.
The 2400 watts use 4000mAh 6s.

The 1800 watts land like butter.
The 2400 watts land not great with more bouncing because it heavy.

What all this mean?

Most common 70mm aircraft are within 4-4.5 lbs max to kept the wing loading light to make it fly better and land easier.
I had my K&A Mig-15 doing 135 average with high power TJ70.
But the landing is not to great. I bust the landing gear almost every other flight.
But shed off the power to 1800 watts and weight 8oz lighter.
Wow the landing is much easier and the speed still in 127.
Which is still pretty fast for tiny little plane.

If I was carrying the CS fans (or rotors) you would be there first claim what an amp hog it is. So don't play the efficiency game or attempt to convince me otherwise.
Folks like em 'cause thier cheap and have a nice sound, but spend countless hours and additional dollars find low kv motors and other parts to make them run halfway decent.

Hmmm.....De ja vu ?

This is shades of the Skyworld 8 Blade rotor from a few years back.
Same thing, only back then you were ridiculed for wanting a fan with a nice "whoosh". Yeah remember that.

Now we want great sound and great performance.

efflux RC,

Gary, you can spin TJ70 to new all time high power levels and then ask him why his 1400 motors can not reach that high or use too much power for however high RPM they can get.
Compare 1400 statistics to 22/XE

I'm serious if he does not stop yapping, you can do just that.....Don't be a chicken Gary.

If he keeps yapping and if you chicken out, I'll find someone and Tam will still have to do his double talk again.

Tam,
You should have zero opinions about someone wanting to go faster...ofcourse it takes more power. It is not a linear relationship, and closer to cubic.

How and why did you get involved? Who asked you?

2400W? sure, go grab 2500W off the chart.

Take your personal fight with Gary off the threads (all of them)....

Leave creative people to do their own findings instead of what is best to put money in your pocket.

The advertising and sales tactics across the threads have been over the top now for some time.

If you think you are doing it in a nice way, you are wrong.

Wow....
I share my opinion about power balance with weight.

Never mind.
I'm not selling Mega or push NeuMotor on this subject.

Just happen the BL32 2150KV motor work so well with CS 70 rotor.

This motor is available at LHS for $75 and most already had in their from stock set Habu 32.

Sorry but I cannot agree on this efficiency spin at all. The CS10 rotor is light years ahead of the skyworld rotor, its just not in the same league. I had the chance to run the skyworld back to back with a wemo a long time ago, and decided not to bother with it. Yes it sounded nice, but the wemo could sound great too with the right setup.

The CS10 on the other hand is very close to the wemo in performance on 4s, only a few grams behind the wemo for the same wattage input, and on 6s its matching the wemo. Setting it up is simple, choose the correct motor and watch it perform. As for sound, its without doubt the best thing in 70mm rotors we have ever had, nothing that has come before it can compare.

-and all it took was copying the Stumax rotor design
FWIW, the Skyworld was one of the more efficient designs I tested.
It bugs me to think of the potential market Stu is losing.
Sorry for the distraction guys! I had to say it.

Terry
P.S.- I was one of the first to test it and suggest using the E-Flite BL32.

You are a "go" for reentry

That's funny. I don't recall Stu ever making a 10 blade 70.
Or am I to believe you're suggesting that anyone who comes close to a Wemo but makes it counter rotating or a 6 blade, Wemo should still get credit? There have been many things that one person/party discovers but just never brought it to market and so someone else does and gets the credit for following through.

But that you did exRacr. The BL32/Delta 70 and the CS is a good 6S mid to upper range combo and now that both ExtremeRC Mark and it sounds like Tamjets are making 5mm adaptors to fit it, we can all be happy and forget who started the ball rolling other than the name thats stamped on it; CS.
