I tried that bondo "gold". Hated it! That stuff blows. The regular pink bondo is better. I think I saw Bondo Ultimate in Wal Mart the last time I was in there. That stuff is much better.

Fiberglass just crashes better

Glass "tow"

Ian turned me onto using fiberglass tow for the majority of my fillet - then I only need a slight glazing of bondo for the finish contour. I don't use bondo but a similar product called pourable-putty (found at a local auto body/paint shop). After going this route I have had zero cracks at the fuse/wing joint on those occasional "dorked" landings. It will add a bit more weight but considerably more strength. In fact the weight is probably not that much compared to solid bondo and the tow can be shaped easily with a slow cure epoxy resign.

The only thing better than this fillet, would be a fillet for my airfoil.

This is the stuff I use and it puts all other "big can" fillers to shame.

AND..... I've found it as low as $13.99 a gallon.
