True, 6s will be the max is my guess. It may not even work on 6s. My ARC 75-1t is 1680kv and in a Midifan pulls 130a on 8s. With the CS-12 it would probably be over 160a.

Nice. What would ne nicer is if they would offer just the adaptor for $5 fo those of us who already have the fan. Although it is a nice excuse to get another fan.

Finally got to test the lander shroud this is with the std Lander 1280kv on 10s the data logger is a new one and live mode did not record so did a quick recording without a live screen wot 3.2 kg thrust 131a 4.2 KW at 2 KG thrust 52a 1.9 KW ay 1 KG thrust 37a 1.2 kw the cells had allready had a hiding so recharging and making sure data will record in live.looks like wot will need to be short turbo boost type bursts but plenty of poke still at half stick.

If I remember correctly the wemo does allmost 4,5 kg at 3,5 kW.


That is a disappointing cause I love the sound

That's with a thrust tube, I get over 9 pds on high cell count 3000 watts

Centrifugal balance if you have have a long enough motor shaft

The thing with any multiblade fan is that matching the right motor with the right number of cells is much more complicated than achieving this with a 'normal' fan.
If you look at the CS70 fan, it would appear that relative low kv motors with a slightly higher weight are the way to go. I bet it won't be any different with this one...

What I cant wait to see is the performance difference when its in the airframe and in unloads with airspeed.

That kinda defies logic I will see what the logging reports compare the system in the airframe static and flying see if at a given rpm the amps drop or not.

I'm afraid Billydsrc is right on this one, I have had this discusion before and was proven wrong as I could swear I could hear the fan unloading in the air but it was not to be. our motors will always go to its rpm based on the kv of the motor and voltage given at a cost of amps so as a fan unloads it doesnt go higher rpm it just stays at its kv/dcv/fan load rpm. maybe at a lower amp draw, if load increases too much amps and heat go up and and failure occures.

one of the ways I proved this to my self was to put a keychain cam on my jet and record a flight you can really hear that the motor never does increase rpm during a flight no matter what I did (vertical climb outs,diving) it stayed the same no matter what the external load on the fan was.
