AH!! I'm fallin in love with the shroud already....there are plenty 38.5\39 mm diameter can car motors that will fit this thing and wont be north of 40 and 50 dollars.

Are the 90 and 70mm shrouds as tough as the 120mm, are they made of the same material?

I have the 120mm 4 blade and literally I can stand on that thing, I'm not a small guy...

Yes the 90mm shroud is made of the same material as the 120, and I think they designed the 90mm around the Het 39mm motors, because they are a perfect fit.

That's a good thing actually, outside of the Turngy 4030 series motors it's really really hard to find a 50usd-ish 50-65mm motor with high enough KV to spin the budget 120mm rotors fast enough for 15lbs of thrust on 12s.

The only options available right now in low kv rotors is the Haoye 127mm 7 blade which can be spin with around 550kv for 15lbs....good luck finding a 500kv 5055 or 65 budget motor though.

If you can get 15lbs of thrust on 12s with a 400+ kv outrunner the skys the limit with motor selection.

That fan does sound much like a turbine. I did a double take when I saw your location, had to look twice. And tell your wife she did a great job on the video's.

I'm sorry but this is just wrong.....a cheap rip off of Stuart Maxwell's 11blade fans. Even down to the obvious shape and design of the spinner. So what if it is one extra blade.

And you Mr. FlipFlop; say what you like.....
"....So I think in the end everybody will win, the new trend nowadays is more blades with better noise so with more competition we get better products...."

Better products? Unknown quality crap? At who's expense?
I suspect that anyone that wants to run these very hard better be wearing Kevlar....

This kind of thing is just undercutting the real developer of cutting edge EDF equipment. If you put guys like Stu, DS, Tam, Tom Cook, BVM out of business by buying this ripped off crap then god help the industry when they want the real deal.......

Off my soap box now.......

Mike, you forgot to mention dynamax, ramtec ,rclander and het fans.
All of them similar but slightly different. These fans are also built very solid,
but I do agree that safty is first with these or any other fan. Dont be mad at
me I did not design them, only given the opportunity to test it.

I would be more inclined to use the 700-68-1400 in the fan, it will be more torquey and likely give you better numbers overall.

Oh and you forgot to mention wemotec too Mike

what a sad rip off
At these kind of power levels I'll only trust the original.... when it can explode and send blades through a lipo pack, side of my fuse, into my leg
I want someone that stands behind there product

no thanks.... no nice aluminum center body for cooling either

China is going to own the world, I'm going to do my best to support the guys that are out there on the cutting edge.... not rip offs

We all know this sort of thing is going to happen ad infinitum so there is little point getting emotional about it. Those who believe in quality products will buy them regardless of whether there is a cheap option available...
