Converting a Sig Senior Kadet


Hi everyone,

I am starting to convert over to electric after playing with some of my club members planes. I am in the process of restoring my sig senior which is 26 years old at least the wing is.

The plane was powered with a Saito 50, I don't know pick the correct motor leaning toward a rimfire 55, or e-flight power 60. I am I going in the correct direction with these examples?

Also how does on chose the correct lipo battery(5s -7s).

I know I opening a big can of worms but sugestions would be great.

You might want to post in the Electric Power Systems thread. Usually, the correct battery will be posted on the motor; the actual number of cells may vary, as it's watts (volts * amps), not just voltage, that determines power.

there is also a section here dedicated to glow or gas to electric conversions. check out the thread pittspecial has going where he converted a SIG pt-40 he found on the free table at his local club.
