How is the "filter" on the RL tx?
Will this notch filter be needed? (I'm using 1.2/1.3ghz for Video).

Thanks

Getting RSSI strength on my cyclops easy OSD with Ranglink UHF

Hello everyone,

Hoping someone can help me out with a specific question. I have a Cyclops easy OSD along with a rangelink UHF. I would like to have the RSSI strength on my OSD screen. The rangelink receiver does have a pin for RSSI, so I'm assuming I don't have to open it up and solder anything to that. On my cyclops OSD there is a wire that needs soldered on the RSSI port. My question therefore is connection to the UHF. Basically, Since only 1 wire is being soldered to the OSD, does anyone know which port that should be connected to the rangelink receiver. I'm assuming the signal port, but I'm not sure. Apparently I already have a common ground on the OSD. Anyone with similar components that has done this? Regards, Jess

I use eagletree but suspect it will be the same. One wire with ferrite ring from signal, (3rd pin on top row) No seperate ground etc.

What are the "more better features" with the RL compared to EzUHF and DragonLink UHF?
Are the boards very similiar?

There is a huge thread on why my older EzUHF had range issues and 'MANY' failsafes!
(stock antenna, vs Diamond SRH771 Antenna vs
433MHz Nagoya Dual Band Antenna)

The Diamond SRH771 had best results! Is that what you guys use on your RL Tx?
or do you use the Stock Antenna that came with the RL?

I would like your opinions'.....What made you all choose the RL besides the pricing differential.....

Thank You,
HappyHolidays....

Keep an eye on the for sale thread, but I would think these will hold value second for $150 for at least the next couple of months.

Cant go wrong with Rangelink. Awesome product, and cheap. What other LR system sells a rx for $79

I'm most likely going to attach the RL on the new TechPod FPV plane,

http://fpvlab.com/forums/showthread....hlight=techpod
http://hobbyuav.com/

and mount the dipole via rear vertical/horizontal stabilizers,.....
on the RL website, the longes RL Rx antenna is 60cm (~24inches),

http://www.rangepiloting.com/dipole-...0cm-p-181.html

Is it possible to use a DragonLink Rx antenna thats 39"?

http://www.readymaderc.com/store/ind...oducts_id=1063

Or can Sid make me a 39" RL Rx antenna?
