Hi NC,
Have you tried the 9000kV outrunner sold by SydneyRCJets on your EDFs? http://sydneyrcjets.com.au/motors-c-...-edf-jet-p-317 I was able to get about 70g thrust on a 2S, 35mm EDF. Would be awesome if this motor fits the 25mm EDF case! This outrunner is too large to fit into the GWS 30mm EDF case. A 10.5mm motor housing would be perfect. Rough info on the motor: 10g (including wire leads) Mounting plate 10mm dia, screw hole-to-hole 8mm Outrunner can 14mm Total length 38mm Shaft 1.5mm (threaded) |

The 35mm EDF (5 blades) is gutted from a resale HK MIG 15.
https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=17309 Specs: Wing Span: 390mm Length: 390mm Flying Weight: 95g EDF: 35mm with 9000kv Brushless Outrunner Motor ESC: 6A w/BEC Servo: 3 x 2g Can't advise on the amp count as i do not have a watt meter. However, the following are some stats from my last measurement: Thrust: 80g 2S 500mAh 20C Zippy lipo TGY 6A ESC (39C) after 30 seconds WOT Based on similar SkyAngel 35mm EDF planes, this motor can take 3S on 3 blade. It will be interesting to see the results of a hot wind on this. |

For anyone interested, I've just uploaded another request - a 25mm EDF Case with flange for 8.5mm motors.

For those wanting to gear up ready for the Great Planes 10mm motor when it lists as a spare part, here is a 20mm EDF case (no flange) to suit: http://www.shapeways.com/model/45289...0mm_motor.html
. You will get ~45g of static thrust on 3S using a GWS 30mm rotor chopped to 3 blades and clipped to 20mm. . |
