Forsakenrider,

The shrouds are out there. It's the rotors that are missing.

Your button retract is super small! Maybe too small for proof of concept?

pdawg, I thought the same thing. Might have to scale it up so I can see it better.

What I do need to find out is what is the minimum clearance between parts before they start melting together during the printing process.

I don't want to land yet!
Nitro, that can depend on how thick the sections are during the layer process too... there is some heat build-up locally due to that... can cause a bit of bleeding into the surround particles if the sections are so close. You can try different clearances in one build on say 2 or 3 parts and check for free movement before deciding what works best I suppose... depends on cost but that is what the Rapid Prototyping methods are all about, speed of testing new parts etc..

Hi guys, a few of you ordered the 25mm flanged EDF case for 10mm motor recently. It got bounced/rejected as the motor mount lugs were 0.6mm wide instead of 0.7mm wide. I have now updated the file with larger lugs so you are to go with re-ordering them.

Ya I already had to deal with this. Problem solved on my end without having to change anything. All models made prior to the software 'update' will make it through with out checks.

Thanks Lee.

Things are still cooking in the background. I have this lot in the production queue at the moment. The rear set are standard GWS nano retract clones, in the middle are the same again but reduced in size by 33% and in front are the button retracts.

With the button retracts I tried to get away with too small a clearance instead of the recommended gap of 0.1mm. This has now been adhered to so hopefully the new set of button retracts will operate freely.

Hi Lee,
I've had a kind of hiatus on all my projects of late due to needing to focus on work related stuff but I managed towrap it all up and finish yesterday and so I am back into the hobby as of today.

So, the order will be submitted this week (have other stuff in the cart too) and we'll see how the next round turns out.

I got my button retracts in last week.
They need one more round of tweaks before I put them into a model. I have a clearance problem on one of the axles - it's too tight and the sintering process is still 'just' bonding it. A little slice with an exacto knife frees it so it's almost there. Also, the pushrod axle needs to be larger as it has too much play for my liking.

It functions smoothly and locks in the down position. Now I have a working version, it looks like it is too small for standard UM models! LOL
