Thank you,

I meant your empty weight.

BTW, can you post a pic with the bracing you do on your mini?

Thanks,

New 18incher

OK, I couldn't take it... After reading this thead, I clicked the purchase buttone, and am now waiting delivery of a 18" Yak!!!

All of my 160mah 1s batts are dead, and rather than stock up on them again, I was just thinking of using 300mah 1s batts. Weight difference is 8g vs 5g.

Will the 3g make any difference?

I am planning on leaving the LG off, as I usually fly in my backyard, not in a gym. Will the weight savings of NO LG make up for the 3 extra gs of battery weight?

Thoughts???

Your order has Shipped, Thanks again!

If anyone is curious we talked via email about the battery size, I think they would work at sea level for sport flying, but not much else.

As soon as this set of un-expected steel building plans is off my desk I'll be finishing up the 330's build thread, sorry about the delay guys but my drafting work keeps the roof over my head.

22"'s are finally up, I'll be tackling the 18" on Monday, I should be able to get it out fairly quick since all the tedious stuff is finished now. Instructions are uploading to my site now. Flight video's coming soon...Build thread coming after the 18" is finished.

Sorry again about the hold up guys.

Hey Gary,

The 1302 should definitely fly the Extra, the 18" proto types are building in at 1.1 oz rtf(with a 160 mah cell) I was hoping to have a video by now...and I just found out that the local indoor night tomorrow(today now) has been canceled

160mAh 1S? I'm going to guess flight times of 3-4min on the Tiger. Could be wrong, but there just hasn't been a BL motor that I've seen that runs as efficiently (for the power) as the 8.5mm "pager" brushed motors.

This wasn't exactly the footage I wanted to use, but due to the lack of an extra set of hands to hold the camera when the weather is good and losing all my regular indoor gym's this was the best I could do for now

PS. looks better in full screen

22in 330sc (5 min 14 sec)
