New Product
NEW RC Factory-Twisted Hobbys Edge 540!
Hi guys,
RC Factory launched recently new line of 80cm/31.5 inch wingspan foamy. It is basically shock flyer, but redesigned to be super strong, so there is no chance you can broke it in the air, even in hard 3D manouvers. But the plane is still rigid enough to survive tons of crashes, so you can fly indoor, or in the backyard, the Edge can handle all of that. It is all EPP design, there are going to be available few more cool printings. The thing is, I dont have mine yet, but I have seen some of those on Model Hobby show that we had here in Czech republic last week. Guys crashed some really hard, usually without damage. Here are some pictures and video. Notice the build video, it is speeded up, it took them 37 minutes to get it almost ready to fly. So if you pic up one from your dealer at (lets say) 4pm, you get home at 4:30, you can still get it ready for evening indoor flying! They used 3x 6-8g servos, 8A esc with motor PULSO X2204/54 KV=1400, that you can get in RC Factory shop too, RTF weight is about 170-200g with 2s 420-720mAh packs, so not that much than normal depron Shockflyer. Cool Jan, we have been flying the prototype and really loving the whole aspect of these models since they are the perfect size to fly in the backyards. The above video is one of the first prototypes in which the ailerons, servo locations and a few other things have now been modified. David and I believe we have created an amazing package for a truly outstanding crash-able yet rigid design we have all been craving for. Twisted Hobbys will be doing our own build thread in which we will show the Welder's Adhesive glue method versus CA. Also please note that both these scheme will not be available in the US as we will have two other choices. We should have them ready to ship before Halloween.

Hi Brad,
you really made something that really a lot of pilots wanted for a long time. Every day on ModelHobby a lot of people asked us where can they buy the Edge, or they bought that already but wanted to see that in the air. It is going to be very popular plane! By the way, I have seen new designs, honestly, they are much better than those i have uploaded. That is the reason why haven't I ordered one yet! Second reason is that I'm bussy finishing new RCFactory indoor plane - the Edge 540T. We have worked on that one almost whole indoor season and I would say it was worth it. It is OT, but one photo anyway Jan |
