actually.. i mounted the servos 10% into the stabs and 90% in the fuse. They were glued to the stabs(but not much) and then heavily siliconed inside the fuse. I didnt have the room to leave the screw tabs on with the 70mm Jet because of the spars, but on the 90mm, it shouldnt be a problem. So basic;y.. it should look just like the photo of the JT. But I wouldnt want to trust just two screws. Dump the silicone to her inside the fuse.

Silicon eh - sounds heavy - that'll hurt the vertical

Take that for giving me stick about metric!! Actually, I'm multilingual - working with balsa sheets all those years ago means 1/16" and 3/8" are more meaningful when it comes to smaller measurements...

BTW, attaching a pic of my SAPAC Viper prior to it's one and only flight last year...see my blog for vid. Gary of EffluxRC fame dopplered one pass at 151, think the average was 136 - great while it lasted!!

Back to the build...

just another jealous person. Show me YOUR 90mm Viper Jet and lets compare.
Oh that right! You dont have one. YOu only have your amazing powers that can tell everyone what the build quality is like and what crappy materials they use, even though you have never even seen one in person.

Try using you powers for good sometime.

enough Know it alls already
My Dear fellow modeler,
you don't need to be a genius to see from your pics how heavy that model is, the way it is built! BTW, I wished you good luck, no need to get touche, Joe.

It may be heavy compared to some of the great quality models I have seen, K&A stuff in particular. But on a like for like basis, it seems to be stacking up ok. For my purposes, having the a$$ end a little heavy is fine given I plan to fly on 8s 4000s.

I can't remember the weight of the SM-90 but my planned mega motor alone weighs 385 grams. If the CG looks a little aft bias, I will move up to 5000s, I have enough of those and there seems be be space to move things around.
