The original viper in this thread was built by pro design and is no longer in production.

Allright, I searched weight on the forum and eight pages came up, none of which alluded to dry weight (that I could find)... Anyways, I'm looking for a 90mm edf to step up to after many years of foamies. What is the dry weight on this plane? if it really is the 2kg that hobbyking says it is, that is ridiculously heavy for a composite model.

Depends on the configuration. People have 6-12S setups on this bird. Some weight up to 9 lbs.

dry weight is 1620 gr takeoff weight is 3.0 kg to 4.2 kg depends on config. Regards

My buddy bought one of these, started to beef up landing gear area and suddenly lost interest. He is looking to sell it for $250 shipped CONUS but make an offer if you want since he wants the money more than the plane.

What servos would you guys use in the tail of the HK Viper Jet. Seems like those BMS servos dont work very well. Any other servos that will fit?

Here's how I solved that problem. Tight fit but worked out well.

How did you mount those servos. Just a small bass wood block underneath?

Had to cut one of the tabs off to get it in. Wood block on the side of the remaining tab and UHU Por on surface of casing. Rock solid.
