yes, but it was not so hard to follow the pins:

ApFET PD4
AnFET PD5

BpFET PC5
BnFET PC4

CpFET PC3
CnFET PB0

mux_a ADC6
mux_b ADC7
mux_c ADC0

and the bs.hex works perfekt.

I like the short form factor and that it has the 'large' Atmel so the HK flash adapter matches after short modification.

Hello everybody !

I bought F-20A ESCs from Hobbyking for my new Quad - I wanna flash SimonK Firmware.

1: Is it better to remove the 3 last capacitators? SimonK told me it was an option and i have read about better timing

2: Is there anybody with experience using F-20A without the Heatsink? What do you do? Thermal Paste on the FETs and then shrink? Or just remove the Heatsink and shrink again?

Bye

External powering of escs for flashing

Hi everyone. I am going to externally power the esc when flashing with 4 aa batteries. If so, do I need to connect the ground and vcc pins onthe pads. Thanks rkenosha

Hi there,
did anyone tried to flash this esc?
Black Mantis 8A
http://www.giantshark.co.uk/black-ma...-p-402902.html

I did it with BS N-Fet and it didn't work out well, after connection a 2cell lipo it gets very hot but that's all.

When externally powered you may be able to omit VCC but GND will always be required.

HI SIMONK
you can write new programs for brushless esc, I2C communication
I think it is best for multirotor

Can anyone help identify the direction of the row of pads for flashing the Turnigy Multistar 30A esc's? I haven't been able to find anything identifying them.

Thanks

Nice and tiny, though.

You will need to with wii-esc, but for my code, it currently only makes a difference in the timing. If you remove them, the timing will be slightly more advanced ("higher"). Starting may also be easier on some motors. It should work either way.

You could probably just reshrink them. I wouldn't run them bare because it's really easy to touch the oscillator and stop it oscillating, or similar.

Hello! It is not the best, but it is already implemented. The best would be something like i2c but without the ESCs being able to jam the bus. On the other hand, uart and pwm have the problem of clock accuracy, whereas i2c does not.

I just checked..From the side closest to the PWM input wire, it is MOSI, MISO, SCK, RESET, +5V, GND.

I just flashed one of my multistars, sucessfully completed. Hooked it up to the FC and motor, then once powered up it smoked the motor and killed it. :S

Ok, just tried with another unused motor, and did the exact same thing. Turned on ok, but once armed and throttle applied, it burnt out the motor.

Flashed with kda.hex?
And... Why ignore warning about tests with dummy load?

Can you post pictures from both sides of the ESC PCB and the label and have you meassured the pin connections?
