If you want a 4wd ford which is more realistic then how about the tamiya ones?

Also, I'm sure you can get just the body and put it on a 4x4 VXL slash.

That's the F150 Lightning, not the Raptor... big difference! The lightning was a sport truck, the raptor is an offroad beast.

The traxxas one is just a 2wd slash, so you could easily just get the body and put it on the VXL slash, either 2wd or 4wd.

I know they are different... just saying that the tamiya ones are more realistic.

Dude the raptor body does look pretty sweet but it needs to go on a 4wd platform with a mamba monster motor package

Proline has a raptor body that'll fit any 1/10th scale SCT as well, so you don't need to buy the traxxas part.

True, but that is only an SCT body with SVT markings, but this is actually a pickup

guys, it's just another traxxas mini revo trick. not worth making much of a deal over. if you like it more because of the truck look, look into scale trucks. just as fun as a slash, but actually looks the part to. and before you say it's to slow, you don't know until you've driven one in person at a comp or in a good spot. they are a total blast.

Just saw their site after the release yesterday. $275 is a little steep for that I think.

also you have to think of a couple of things. The slash 2wd that is under the body costs about 200 or so. and the body can be 30 plus. so 270 really isnt that bad since you also got to think that they also have to make money. but once you come down to it 270 isnt horrible but not good. PLus you can buy a body and put it on a 2wd slash for a little cheaper.

^^ The cost listed for the 2wd 2.4ghz brushed slash on the Traxxas site is $264.99, the Raptor (same truck with a different body) is $274.99. You can't buy the body for $10, so it's cheaper to buy the Raptor.

The only Slash that's close to $200 is the brushed AM version, the 2.4ghz ones are typically closer to $250 anywhere.

Right, but I am 16 and have not got a job yet. So it would be steep for me, though not necessarily you.

Even the brushed AM version is $239.99 on the traxxas site... The raptor is only $35 more and it comes with a much better radio.

If you look at actual stores and not the traxxas pricing you'll likely find cheaper pricing.
