Canards on a scratchbuilt jet


Hi
I want to build a jet with canards.Must the canards be positionrd slightly higher than the wing?Will I have any problems if I put them in line with the wing?

Can glue better than fly!
I guess it would depend on the design, but i would think it wouldn't make much of a difference. More important is getting the CG in the correct spot, everything else works off that.

It really depends on how big they are. The bigger they are the more airflow they will divert from the main wing. Alot depends on where the intake is if this was a real jet. THe ef2000 puts the canards on the nose of the aircraft, but the intake is on the bottom like the f16. The Gripen and Rafaels canards are behind the cockpit and more on top of the aircraft cause their intakes are on the sides. On a pusher, it really doesnt matter
