Flycam / KK Blackboard / Naviboard / Sonar Thread
i think many questions about the flycam boards get lost in the big main kk thread; so this thread should be for discussion and sharing infos about the flycam kk blackboard, naviboard, sonar and software from minsoo.

Nice idea warthox,
I'm keeping an eye on the naviboard: so little reviews, but seems interesting. I like the simple philosophy of KK and hope the naviboard will follow the rule, but performing like it should. There are so many deluded people around when GPS and other gymnicks have been added to known boards.... |

stablemode works great. on of the best i flew so far. acromode flies also great. basically its flying with the blackboard. navi off. sonar works good. high is hold very precise in low alt. baro works. its going up and down a bit. found out that i got the best result when i activate it in near hover and giving just a bit more throttle when activated. the pot is set to max atm. gps ph works. in wind it stays in the area where u activated it, with no wind its more precise but its not 100% stationary. i would say the quad stays in a diameter of arround 2-10m. u can manually fly away when gps ph is activated and if u release the sticks the quad nicley comes back to its ph position. not to fast and not to slow. sometimes the quad 'overshoots' the position but it comes back. gps ch works. the quad comes to the position where u armed the quad the last time before activating gps ch. precision is the same as with ph. i have the feeling that the quad flies faster to the home position than when it comes back after u flew away in ph mode. sometimes i had to recalibrate mag/gps to get a gps fix for the first time a day. due the gps/sonar etc is adjustable i cannot guarantee that i found the best settings. so maybe its possible to get better result. |

Thanks for starting this new thread Marcus!
I've got the Naviboard installed on my TriCopter, and this is my impressions and some help and assistance please? Alt hold work OK. Like you say, basically hover it first, then switch and then it holds pretty good. One weird thing is I have to keep trimming it level when switching between modes? I did the ACC calibrations. GPS Hold or RTH does not work at all?? I've done the calibrations, the blue LED lights up, but when I switch to PH it just goes into a direction and never stops, allways in a Northern direction, no matter what orientation I'm in, Any advice please? GPS and Alt pots both on 50%, Nic 60%/Roll 60%/Yaw 75% Cheers Dion |

Hi all
Now, I'm fixing the navi firmware. Before release the latest version. please download the beta version and see the video for the compass initialization. Move and hold the elevator stick to the left for three seconds. The sounder will beep and the Blue and Red LED will be flashing. Take hold of the copter in both hands and rotate it as described below:- 1. tilt it 90 degrees though its pitch axes (tilting front to back) and roll axes (tilting left to right) Repeat this step until the sounder will beeb once, twice and three times 2. A beep will sound indicating it has been successful. During the above procedure, be sure to avoid any metal objects such as a car, or high-tension electrical cables; these distort the magnetic field around them etc.
Thanks in advance Minsoo |

if this not happen redo the mag/gps calibration. it can take some seconds till the board has a gps fix. gps ph/ch won't work until the blue led lights permanent. |
