Had a good 2 flights flights this morning. 2 comments. The recommended elevator throws are very sensitive. I moved the servo arm connector 1 hole in. The servo used for steering moves in its mount because they did not use grommets so the servo moves side to side because the hole is too large. If you look the tail wheel retract servo is the same but they epoxied it in. So I epoxied the steering servo in. Something to check because when I landed I had only right tail wheel which is lucky for me because the fence is on the left. Other than that, a very nice flying warbird with acceptable top end.

Aros,

I do not need to now but how easy is it to take the tail wheel assembly out for service. It looks like you remove the 2 elevator screws. The rest is glued in. On your model that was destroyed, was the assembly tack glued for easy removal or permanently glued in.

To be honest I have not really looked at the tail wheel assembly that closely. (I'm one of those "If it is working, no need to study the part" kinda guys, lol). I know the two elevator screws are part of the equation but the rest looks glued in. I could take a closer look and let you know if you like.

Ldm, I'm using the Turnigy Nanotech 6S 5000 mAh 45C battery. It's what I had for my other 1700 planes. I had to do some digging in the battery compartment to fit (due to the 45C rating I imagine) but after that, once it's pushed full forward it's perfect for the CG.

Quote didn't work. This is my answer for LDM
I used the spyderbattery 6s 5300 mah 30c has 5c charge rate. I charge it in 10 min. Comes with ec5 connector

I have a pretty clean battery install with very little carving. Will post pictures if interested.

Suggest you get a box of m3 socket head screws. m3 Phillips are used through out the aircraft. The head doesn't strip like the Philips that are supplied. Specifically for the motor mount.

something like this

The big advantage of ROC is that it will benefit from the hard-learned lessons of FMS, so it will not suffer the same growing pains.

MotionRC is the exclusive ROC Hobby U.S. distributor. FMS have learned from the BH deal, and hopefully, FMS has set conditions for MotionRC to provide better service.

As well, ROC has been granted rights to distribute some specific FMS models. There will be no conflict between Motion and BH.

The above comments are based on direct comms with the FMS factory.

In addition, FMS is not connected in any way with Nitroplanes, so the new Nitroplanes warbirds, i.e. 800mm T28/P51/Skyraider and 1450mmT28, are not FMS-made.
Those new warbirds from NP are made by A-RC
