If your ESC has a 3+Amp BEC, there's really no need (or space) for an external BEC in a 450.

Plenty of space. And I prefer 6v output. By the way, nice digi servos can easily pull 3 amps. 4 hs5085mg servos pull more than I would trust with a 3a BEC

I'm running savox digital servos, and savox tail servo, I was told they are power hungry thats why I asked about the bec lol..

Hey farmer hows the walkera flying? Mine is put away till winter.

as a beginner,im using the begginer settings on the zyx-s.id like to tame this 500 down a little if poss.any suggestions on what to change.

Guys I ALMOST have this thing working. However my pitch is on my throttle stick and collective is some how on my elevator?!?!

Everythign Is wired correctly after just double checking.

I am also having trouble setting endpoints with my JR x9503

my gcp is collecting dust for now, been flying my brushless blade mcpx v2 alot lately, just getting into mini's now..

Also, I forgot to add that My ZYX-s has a solid red light. I thought solid red was for heading hold mode? Currently it is acting as a 3 axis gyro and corrects for all levels of input.

It also corrects in the right direction, yet for some reason my TX is switch, elevator controlling collective and collective is controlling pitch?!


Edit. So much for that...

Can you only plug this thing in one time before having to restart the heli? I was messing around on johns setup, got everything level, but still my channels were swapped. Then I unplugged it to test some things, plugged it back in and it just sits there. Now it doesnt receive any signal and is acting like it wont bind to my TX. When it turns on the Gyro just sits there with all three lights on, no input from anything at all...

Edit #2. Now I Tried binding without anything hooked up (besides ESC and bind plug) and the rx wont bind.... I think the RX fried... Hopefully Gyro is still okay, but I wont know until I get a new rx.

Now, Any ideas about the swapped channels? Other than them being swapped everything is good to go! its almost like mode 1 programming.... on a Mode 2 tx. so weird!

reverse the elevator servo (servo 3) in the pc software.

Does that ICE 50 ESC fit inside the frame up the front with the stock battery tray ?

as mentioned I am now waiting on a new RX but will try it asap when I get one in hand. Until then, If that reverses the elevator servo then will my Collective be all messed up like it was eariler? servos going every which way? If so then do I go reverse it in my tx?
