I just found this Tarot ZYX flybarless 3 axis gyro system:





Says it's for 200 to 700 size helicopters on the box.

They have used the single plug with 3 Rx wires to keep the size down.

This unit can be programmed by the Tx or by a programming box. The Tx programming works fine, but the larger values are trickier to set. Setup is easier with the program box and a lot more options are available.

Note: This gyro does not have a total limit setting or a cyclic ring, so it is not possible to stop binding at stick corners.

-V4.01 has separate versions for helicopter/airplane and quadcopter. The heli/plane version does not initialize the servos until after the gyro initializes to avoid a servo kick.

-None of the ZYX/ZYX-S tools (bluetooth adapter, program box, PC app) work with the ZYX-S2
-Fusuno canopies. Poor customer service and very slow to ship. It would seem their canopies all come from Vietnam. When it did finally arrive they had also forgotten to put the 4 mounting holes in the canopy, and had not provided any grommets.
-Compass Warp 360. Poor inconsistent quality, causing crashes.
-xmseller/xmhobbies/CNC helicopter. They say you only find out how good a company is when something goes wrong. I found out.

USB Link tips:
1/ Make sure the USB link is assigned a COMs port of 4 or less (COM1, COM2, COM3, or COM4). This is done in device manager.
2/ The gyro must also be initialized to connect (Tx and Rx on and the single red or blue LED lit on the gyro).

How much is it BF?

I'm not sure what price the Tarot one is going to be. The Helicox TG-1 appears to be $98 from Hobby-Wing, but that doesn't appear to include the programmer. The strange thing is, I can't find the programmer listed on it's own, so perhaps the text in the listing is wrong.

i guess we'll find out the price in about a weeks time. infinity-hobby has them aswell

I'm no sure yet. It probably depends on how well the ALZRC unit flies. The 3GYS gyro on it's own is going to be pretty cheap, and I like how it works so far, but it all means nothing if it doesn't fly well.

The Tarot one has 3 LEDs on it thou? So there are some differences ?

I love all this. Maybe once I go FBL to reduce repair time between crashes, I'll be more compelled to fly my heli more...
