Dividing "Separating" wing ??

I'm building a 2 meters wing span glider
can someone tell me how to separate each wing into 2 parts to be attatched and separated for easy transport of the plane ?

We need to know the wing structure before we can offer any advice. Is it open structure balsa, sheeted balsa, foam or composite covered foam?

Foam wings
the entire plane will be made from foam with carbon rods for strenth and some ply wood in the fuselage wing junction

Aha, could be difficult. How thick is the airfoil at its thickest part?

Beware the Axis of Weasel.

I've used carbon tubes of two different diameters for this before, with the narrower diameter being a tight fit in the other. Bit of tape to hold the panels together and an anti-rotation pin does the job nicely.

Here's a good example of what I mean. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...ruction+thread

It would be better to make a single center piece and have removable tips..

i thought about that but the problem is with many separation and assembly i think the carbon rod is gonna be detached from the foam
or will it be safe?

Many many gliders that have split wing sections merely use packing or electrical tape to hold the wing together as one piece. But I don't know if that will work with foam, tape sticks well to smooth glass.
