I fly 1300's all the time in my RC Factory SU-29 EPP 39' airplane, so they should work for you..
Oops, make that a 39 inch airplane, not 39 foot! But, you all knew that...

I'm considering one of these MicroDan motors for my new 3DHS 38" EPP Slick:

I have one with a GWS 11x6 DD prop and it works very well

I'm thinking this should weight between 19-22 ounces including a 1,000 mA to 1,300 mA battery... Wish I knew the Hacker motor recommendation so I could order it..

I would say the Hacker A20-26M is the recommended motor.

Looks like the A20-26M would be underpowering the 3DHS 38" Slick, imho:

A20-26M
Hacker Brushless 150W 1130k/V Outrunner
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The A20 motors are small Outrunners and provide great efficiency and light weight. They are ideal for 7-12 oz. Slowflyers and Aerobatic Parkflyer models with 3 cell LiPoly batteries.

The A20-26M has a Slotted, 14 pole, outrunner design. This motor features Oversize bearings, Curved Neodym-magnets, and a High Efficiency stator. These motors produce more power with lower current consumption than other popular Outrunner designs!

So are you thinking that this motor might be a better fit?

I still haven't seen any specs on the 38" EPP Slick - like AUP and motor recommendations...am I missing something or have the specs not been published yet?

Nope, no specs on the 38" Slick yet, Pure speculation, but knowing the 39" RC Factory SU-29 comes in at 16 to 22 ounces (includes battery, their specification, haven't weighted mine), I would expect the 38" Slick to be somewhere close to that (maybe lighter). Then, I like to pick a motor with a thrust of 2X that for "sporty" performance..
