Excellent! Looking forward to seeing it.
I finished gluing the top of the fuselage on last evening. I'm impressed by the small servo trays Greg has for the XL and think they are going to really work great. No more gluing the servos in and having to dig one out if it goes bad. Just screw it in like a balsa plane. I'll post some pictures later this week after it's all done. With how well bdiesel3's XL flew I'm looking forward to getting this one in the air and shooting more video. |

Just out of curiosity, would those servo trays be available a la carte, or are they only sold with the plane?

Flew the XL last weekend at a fly in in Fort Wayne, IN. It was slightly breezy, around 10mph, but the XL flew great. Sponsered pilot Jase Dussia made it look like there was no wind when he was flying it, the talents some have. This plane is a all around great plane, sized for some indoor events and can handle some breeze outdoor. Awesome job WMParkflyers and team.
BTW, is there still landing gear kits coming out for the EPP planes? |

I'm making some progress on mine again. Motor and servos are now installed along with the control horns glued in. Just need to install the pushrods and it will be good to go. I'm really anxious to get this flying after putting a few flights on bdiesel3's XL. Just a really good flying plane.
One of the things many don't realize about wmparkflyers.com is that each one of these planes is inspected by the owner (Greg) before it is shipped. Greg cuts all the kits out with his own lazer cutter, does almost all the painting, and takes them to the post office himself. Everything is done in house (literally in his house) so quality control and parts fit is excellent. Plus how many kit producers let you custom choose your colors for no extra charge. They also prehinge and install the spars on the 34" kits, you will need to glue the wing halves together and glue the spar in on the XL but it is still prehinged. All this at an extremely affordable price. Good stuff. |
