Here are a few discussions on FrSky FASST compatibles (one of which is this thread). The reports have been good.

Note that FrSky also has its own 2.4 system so when you read FrSky reports you need to confirm whether they are talking about FrSky receivers with FrSky module or FrSky with Futaba FASST. Not the same. BUT, all are getting good reports.

Thank you, have just ordered a couple of FrSky FASST compatible Rx's to test.

I was the chase plane NOT the plane that went down - we were comparing range. He was using Spectrum, I was using FrSky. I have NO issues... He did !

FWIW, I bought 8 of the 7 channel frysky and 4 of the 4 channels off of Wayne last week. I called on a Saturday morning to verify they were in stock. I ordered them Saturday afternoon, I had them on Wednesday in Wv. Great guy and super service. Greg

i have a few of the frysky rxs as well but find if odd that the 7 channels are cheaper then the 4 channels

The 7 Channel is the best seller, so they are able to produce more, and this helps bring the price down. FrSky passes any savings on to their customers, and so does Aloft Hobbies, so you will see "odd pricing" like that from time to time.

Thanks all!

Drawback
The only drawback I can see at present is that the TFR6 has its pins on top. Depending on intended use, and space limitations this may be a dealbreaker. Then again it might not. Given that the TFR6 will compete head to head with the R617FS, it makes sense that FrSky did so on the TFR6 too. It would be nice if FrSky did one "top" and one "end" version - like the new Hitec Minima
Look what we have:

Only available from Aloft Hobbies, the new end pin layout for the TFR6. Link:
